Oh my goodness, stress does funny things to one's brain. At least it shows that you've fantastic coping skills, as illustrated by the fact that if there'd really been an issue with your mortgage payments, you'd have had dealt with it in nano-seconds. Your doctor sounds like she's exercising an absolute abundance of caution. I'm so sorry you're going through this super-stressful time and I wish you tonnes of luck.
