Oh Random Acts of Chaos, How I Love Thee...

Original Plan for Today:
read paper
vacuum/take out trash
laundry
inventory what I need to make for the Violet Crown Festival
take pictures of pretties and books what I want to sell on eBay
shop for groceries

What Actually Happened:
read paper
vacuumed/took out trash
shopped for groceries
...then the phone rings. One of my BMFs, his wife, and their two boys are in town! Briefly! They were flying back from CA to PA and the weather totally messed up their flights. So, rather than be on 24-hour standby in Houston, they rented a car and came up here. They'll fly out Monday. So it was off to see them, and have dinner. Yay!
...then I did laundry.

Now I'm off to bed.

So sorry I couldn't make it last night. Curse us for having dinner guests! Oh, wait, no that was fun too. Are you coming to lunch today? I've no idea when or where (actually I'm guessing Mangia or EZ's with Thomas) but I know he was calling Trag, too.

As for the rest of your day: at least your well-informed, have a clean house, and have food!

p.s. I remember crying A LOT when I was twelve but thought it was 'cause we'd just moved to Edmonton (I'd cry now!). My poor hormone-addled Boy breaks into tears if I look at him crooked. Makes it very hard to offer even gentle corrections. Sigh.

Call me when things get decided and I may be able to come out.

I don't remember crying, I remember being furious with the world. All the time. I imagine that made it just as hard for my mom to communicate/commiserate with me...

Oh, he's pretty mad at the world when he's not mad at himself. He is showing a typical 12 yo's series of rather stunningly bad choices but it's mostly trivial things. He's second guessing himself so much that even having to make a decision at Amy's is high drama.

Oy!

I'll call you when I hear something. I rather suspect later rather than earlier.
