It's a pendant of mollusc control!

Or, you know, an enameled pendant that looks like a nautilus. It started as a closionne piece, but I quickly discovered that adding all of the little squiggly wire bits in between the sections of color was not going to work at all. Not without some serious bodily harm.

So I wet-packed the enamel--which is just what it sounds like; I got it wet and packed it in (like working in damp sand)--and I think it turned out OK. The eyeball came out more sinister than I wanted it to--I put a small copper disc on top of transparent green, and the disc turned a kind of malevolent red.

I had to solder the damned tentacles on FOUR TIMES, but I finally got them to work. All in all, I'm pretty proud of this!
