Wheatsville, Day 1
Dec. 5th, 2009 11:10 pmCOLD.
IT WAS VERY VERY COLD THIS MORNING AND I WANT TO REGISTER MY OBJECTIONS WITH THE MANAGEMENT.
Seriously. When I got up it was 20F and I found a good 1/4 inch of frost on the car. Took me 20 minutes to scrape and defrost the windshield.
But I persevered, and made it to the new site--right in front of the store! (Wheatsville is a local food coop.) It took me longer than usual to set up, since I don't work very well in very cold weather, and my nephew backed out on me at the last minute.
Sales were decent, and I got many compliments on my work. The crowds seemed thin, though. I think (hope) that folks were wary to venture out when it was pretty chilly all day--it may have hit 50F but I'm not sure--and that there will be more feet on the ground tomorrow.
I just finished another batch of coin bracelets, as they are selling well. I'll take them out of the tumbler in the morning.
The ever-amazing
dremiel is coming to help me tear down tomorrow afternoon, so maybe I can get my laundry done and go to bed at a decent time on Sunday. I have Monday off, yay!
