Man, my shoulder muscles ache. You know, the ones that are in the front of your underarms? Ache city, baby. It might have something to do with the 3.5 hours I spent planishing (lightly tapping the entire piece) my almost-finished...urn, I guess you'd call it. My hands ache too. But it's looking really good! Now I need to determine how I'm going to sign the darned thing.
The wagon is loaded up and I just have to get my tools etc. together for tomorrow. The weather should be pretty nice if a bit on the warm side, but you get what you get in May in Central Texas. (I remember years when I took down my tent in a raging thunderstorm. Good times.) And I don't have to get up at an unreasonable hour, as the setup doesn't start until 9. Of course I'll be there early, just in case I can start early, since we only have 2 hours to set up.
I have three more bracelets tumbling to clean the coins and harden the links. I didn't enamel anything; I just don't think I was up to it tonight.
The price of silver has taken a steep drop! Down to about $35 an ounce, as opposed to $48 last week. I bought some when I ordered my shiny new toys the other night.
Alas, I will not be able to see broadcast of the Danny Boyle Frankenstein at the Drafthouse--one show is tomorrow about an hour after we close (not going to happen) and the other is my last night of coppersmithing class. Oh well.
