The Good:

My right knee is a very happy camper. Every medical professional that sees it is amazed at my progress (fat girlz rule!), and I couldn't be happier with the results.
My Enormous Enamel Pin Project proceeds apace. I'll get another 15 done this weekend, putting me at 75. I hope to get into the workshop early Wednesday morning and knock out the remainder of the trimming, corner-rounding, and base enameling, so when I get back to them the weekend after next, all I'll have to do is the design work, which should leave me a couple of weekends before ArmadilloCon to get things done for THAT. (I would get more done over my gloriously long 4th of July holiday weekend, but I have once again followed the siren song of Cash Money and I'm working at a local anime convention Thurs-Sun.)
I'm going to see Magic Mike on Saturday with [personal profile] dremiel and some other friends. It will be FUN.
I just finished The Black Opera by Mary Gentle. Excellent, excellent AU of opera and Italy.

The Bad:

My work PC caught a virus this week and I've been dealing with first trying to kill it, and then when that failed, getting my computer re-imaged with Windows 7, re-loading software, and dealing with printer drivers that don't want to install. Aaargh. Luckily it has been very quiet at work so I haven't caused too much hassle for my team mates.
I have gained back all the weight I lost during my recuperation. (My new swimsuit finally showed up, though. And I plan on getting back into water aerobics after next weeks' shenanigans.)

The Annoying:

I'm going to get the other knee replaced, probably in September. I went into my surgeon's office Thursday and the PA (wonderful gal!) x-rayed my left knee and showed me multitudes of bone spurs and a joint that is perilously close to being bone-on-bone. The arthritis is strong in that one. We're going to try an injection of something that should help improve the cushioning in the joint as soon as we get the go-ahead from the insurance company.  Since the folks running the one show I might have in September have been dragging their heels about things, I'm just going to write it off and plan on Celtic Fest in November. September is usually pretty slow in our department, and I've already warned my team lead that this will happen. At least I've already fulfilled all of my out-of-pocket expenses for the year so this surgery should be significantly cheaper. Plus, now I know what to expect, and I'll bounce back quickly.

So, how you doin'?
