My friend (who weighs about 300lbs, btw) who had one knee replaced was up and about walking the following day, and back at work the following week. He works as a receptionist and manager in a veterinary surgeon's office, which is pretty desky. So, no, I don't think getting back to work in an office after two to three weeks is unreasonable. Hopefully your doctor will think the same, and your team lead will be accommodating. It would be brilliant to get it fixed!
