lillian13One of the victims in the Virginia Tech mass shooting (if I hear a talking head call it a massacre one more time I'll scream), was Jamie Bishop, the son of SF writer Michael Bishop. He was a German professor at VT.

Neither one are what you would call friends, Michael is a casual acquaintance at SF cons, but they were members of the SF community at large, and this is horrible.
They know who the killer is; but we may never know why.
