It's still New Years Eve here

lillian13I've been selling tshirts at IkkiCon all day. Pretty slow, exacerbated by the fact that they kept us open until EIGHT PM. They claimed it was due to the fact that we are sharing space with the Artist's Alley and they wanted it open that late. (Amusingly enough, every artist I talked to about it was as annoyed about staying open late as we were.) But even if EVERY DEALER AND ARTIST WANTED TO CLOSE THE ROOM EARLY, the convention folks said, "Sorry! Program book says we're open til 8, the room stays open til 8." *grumble, grumble, bitch, bitch*
And we're open from 9:30 am til 8 pm tomorrow. The day after New Years. I don't forsee a lot of sales before noon.
My Christmas was pretty good. Minimal Family Drama, some fun presents. (Won't bore anyone with a List of Loot.)
New Years Stuff
2010 Pluses: I'm still employed. My jewelry sales were quite good, despite the economy. I improved my enameling and chasing skills. I went to ComicCon as a tourist and had a grand time. Went to San Francisco to see an old friend get married and had a great time there too. Acquired a very nice cat that I named Spencer. Diagnosed with sleep apnea, but I'm now using a CPAP and sleep solidly through the night.
2010 Minuses: Job bores me to tears. Still haven't lost much weight. Still not exercising regularly. Apartment is still kind of annoying (no storage, tiny kitchen). Lost my cat Slinky to old age. Still riding the fine edge of being totally broke, as I made no progress on paying off credit cards. Not getting enough sleep, since I'm dissatisfied with my job and I stay up too late, trying to avoid work. Still haven't put anything up on my etsy page. Didn't get into the Blue Genie show again and I still don't know why.
2011 Wishes: Lose more weight. Sell jewelry on etsy. Keep the apartment cleaner. Cook more. Get out more. Leave more feedback on LJ and AO3 and DW. Continued health and happiness for all of my friends and family, which means all of you. :-)
