I'm starting to look for a place to stay for the San Diego Comic Con. Good grief, everyone raises their rates for that week! (One of the small hotels I called actually apologized.) So far my best bets are either a hostel (share a room with 3 folks for $50 a night) or stay in a home through airbnb.com for $60 a night. Or I can stay with friends out in Alpine, but renting a car, plus gas, would be about $250 anyway.... Anyone on my list (or a friend) want to go and split costs?
Working on a wirewrap commission that is waaay overdue. Normally I would have had it done weeks ago, but it's a very large crystal and the owner wants to be able to wear it in either orientation (point up or point down). I'm hoping like heck to get this done either today or tomorrow evening. I have some ideas and hopefully they'll pass the Real World test.
Sorting out paperwork so I can do my taxes when all the stock tax forms come in. Because I exercised my options last year it may really mess with my refund.
Going through my media and culling. Anyone want a greymarket "Daria: The Complete Series"? Or "Hogfather"?
Going through my jewelry WIPs that have languished forever and culling silver to sell to one of my suppliers. Should have done this when it was almost $30 an ounce. But I'll take $27. (/sarcasm)
I bought one of those battery-charger packs that you can plug an inverter into and run things off of like a really big battery, back when I used an electronic credit card reader. Well, I no longer use the reader and no one is biting on Craigslist. Will try to return to Wal Mart, even though it's been a year. (Goes looking for the receipt.)
ION, the knee is slowly getting better. It's been hurting since New Years', but the swelling is going down and I can walk on it for longer and longer stretches without being in agony. Since I'm going to Genghis in Denver CO in February, this is a good thing.
