This is what the car looks like when packed for Austin Celtic Festival.

We had all our parties and costume contests and whatnot at work yesterday. All I had time to do was put on my devil horns and wear a My Little Cthulhu t-shirt. We had a lot of folks in costume, and later in the day parents brought their kids out. The kids had the most adorable costumes! I spent last evening packing the car and making some last-minute jewelry for the show.

Today, I left work early to drive across town and set up the tent, tables, etc. The World's Best Niece came to help, and brought a friend with her. Small world--he's the son of a guy I used to play Champions with, back when I had opportunities and time for face-to-face gaming. (sigh) Tent is up, and now I have 3 hours tomorrow to put up the awning on the front, set everything up to my satisfaction, and yeah, put up my jewelry.

The tent will be considerably lighter and hotter this year--we lost a lot of limbs on the big pecan trees that are all over this park, and with the drought nothing has grown to replace them--so the canopy is much thinner. But I'm still a very quick sprint to the Real Bathrooms and in a prime location, so no complaints, really.
