My weekend, let me show you it

Millennium Com = zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Seriously, sales were very low. I think it's because all the RPG players (who were ensconced upstairs) would come down, see only miniatures and landscape sellers, (and players) and leave. The minis guys were almost all older, pretty conservative, and not interested in t-shirts. But we got some customers, and I told Mr. Pegasus what to send next time, so maybe we'll sell more. (I did sell some jewelry, though, which was a nice bonus.)
Saw a couple of folks I hadn't seen literally for years; "met" a co-worker there, and talked to one of my ex-playtesters (from when I worked for Steve Jackson Games). The cheap motel's convention center had free high-speed wifi, which meant my almost 12-hour Saturday* was at least semi-interesting. The World's Best Niece brought me dinner, too.
My car now has new motor mounts! It's almost like having a new car! The first time I started it up after I got it back I thought it hadn't started at all, it was so quiet. Which tells me how long the old mounts had been loose. o_O Next on the list is a bunch of stuff around the radiator, but BobbytheMechanic will get me a quote on that.
I saw Quantum of Solace with my brother last night. I can't figure out if it was a lame Bond movie or an exceedingly clever one. (After remembering where I'd seen one of the writers' names before, I'm edging more towards "exceedingly clever".)
We got the new Star Trek trailer, and my brother made a little "meep" noise and started chanting "Coming at Thanksgiving!" under his breath until the release date of May 09 came up. He was quite disappointed with that. He can be such a geek about some things.
Now I need to make vet appointments for Ripley the Wonder Cat and her Lumpen Sidekick, Slinky. And make a cake tonight for the Departmental Thanksgiving Potluck tomorrow. I am once again attempting to use the Bundt Pan of Doom. Wish me luck.
* Seriously, the posted hours were 8 am to 9 pm. I came in at 9 and could have come in at 11. The reason? They run games in the dealer's room. Not just demos, but actual games. Really crappy use of space in my opinion.
