A productive weekend, for once

lillian13Got the last of my Christmas shopping done (now all I have to do is make jewelry, ha-ha-ha-ha). Bought lots of books for my friend T's kids, and a couple of old favorites that might make him smile. I'll get that box off Monday or Tuesday. Started on the Christmas cards; should be done in a day or so. Got the lights up. Found the perfect hideous Christmas paper (SpongeBob is involved--be very afraid). Paid bills.
Made soup/stock from the turkey carcass; I have to peel off the fat tomorrow after it cools. Then it's turkey and dumplings time! I also made a cake for our admin's birthday.
The living room is now about 80% clean. I vacuumed and picked up and did 3 months worth of filing; I now need to sell the Giant Desk I Never Used so I can shift several pieces of furniture around. I'm going to tackle my bedroom after Christmas when all the presents I've been storing in there are distributed.
Went to a laundromat today and washed everything--clothes, table covers, jacket, mattress cover, bed pillows--while it was kind of pricey, I got it all done in less than 2 hours. I need to call around and see if anyone is interested in buying/taking away the dryer. It works, under protest, and makes my clothes smell weird. I'm tired of dealing with its mechanical dramatics and I want it out of here.
I'm also going to sell my old 20GB iPod. Any takers?
