Wow, things got busy all of a sudden

Looks like I'm having two busy weekends in a row: Friday kicks off the Celtic Bataan Deathmarch North Texas Irish Festival. The Automotive Building (where we've been forever) is being worked on, so we've been moved--I think it's the Food & Fiber building. Hopefully I'll know before I head out Friday after lunch.
The hours have gotten even more insane:
Friday March 6th 6:00 pm ~ 11:00 pm
Saturday March 7th 10:30 am ~ 11:30 pm
Sunday March 8th 11:30 am ~ 7:30 pm
They want the vendors to stay open until 9 pm. Yeah, no. They are probably selling beer until 10 or later, and no one buys much after 8 pm--they're there to drink and listen to music and did I mention drink? With the rearranging of the stages I don't know if I'll be able to hear the bands I want to, like Jiggernaut and Loescher & Kenneth. I just hope we aren't near the Irish Dancing stage. Cloggers all day, and the same damn music over and over. *shudders* (Prepares Standard Irish Show Song Checklist for the weekend.)
I have to cut out early on Sunday as it is to make the 3.5 hour drive back home so I can get enough sleep to be functional at work on Monday.
The second weekend is this. Mr. Pegasus has a booth here and with any luck I'll get to go listen to Jonathan Coulton on Saturday.
Next week I go see Spamalot! And Avenue Q in April!
Interesting link: I doodle in meetings, a lot. I am vindicated!

Date: 2009-03-03 04:06 pm (UTC)My friends are having a going-away party for one of our number on Saturday, too, so maybe we can trade off on cutting out early? Too much going on >_<

And I'll be schlepping around the event hotel with my camera on Friday and Saturday nights. Thank GOD nothing much is going on early in the morning on the stages. In theory I'm supposed to do a photo shoot with the n/o/r band (who will be at NTIF for the first time since they got back together a couple of years ago) on Saturday morning, but we'll see whether they all show up or not. Heh.
