Tomorrow I'm leaving work around noon and heading out to Dallas to work at the North Texas Irish Festival, aka the Celtic Bataan Death March. Seriously, they have the vendors set up until 5, then we're open from 6-11 (though we can leave at 10). Saturday the fair is open from 10:30am-11:30 pm (we can leave at 10) and Sunday 11:30 am-7:30 pm. We can't load out until then, though hopefully we'll have everything packed up and ready to go. It's a slog full of drunks and dogs. Guess who is generally the better behaved?
I really hope Russ can come back on Sunday to take the van up to the boss's place. It would add 2 hours to my round trip, probably putting me in to Austin around 2am. I'm taking a half-day on Monday, but geez.
I also got talked into bringing a dog back with me for a rescue group. They swear up and down he's well-behaved, mellow, etc. We'll see. Luckily the man picking him up from me doesn't mind that I might be coming back in the middle of the night. Which is good, as I have zero place to keep a dog of any size.
Still getting used to the iphone and updating all my contacts in it, since I had it synch to the wrong email account. *facepalm*. If you have any favorite/useful apps, let me know! I didn't think to take a picture of my almost finished copper project; hopefully I'll remember on Tuesday because it's looking really good.
Working out with a trainer is cool and it seems to be helping the Knee of Evil. The real test will be this weekend with many many hours standing/walking on concrete. I am bringing healthy stuff to eat so I'll keep Fair Food ingestion to a minimum. All bets are off if the sweet potato roaster is there!
