Bits and bobs

The Rangers beat the Yankees to make it into the World Series for the very first time! (And they won by striking out A-Rod, a player who, shall we say, is NOT BELOVED in Dallas.)
I'm snorfly, and it's trying to settle in my chest. I don't have time for this; I have to get things made for the Austin Celtic Festival. I'll stay home today and work on things I don't need a kiln or a torch for and plan on going into the Lab tomorrow.
Why am I snorfly? I was cleaning the kitchen and found a pan of cornbread I'd neglected to put in the fridge--the damn thing had turned into a monstrous mold colony, that exploded in my face when I was throwing it out. Seriously, black mold spores everywhere. I reckon I inhaled enough to put an actual allergy sufferer into a coma. So I'm clogged.
Our Gem & Mineral Show is this weekend and I can't go because I'm flat broke. Between putting a new battery in my car and having to buy most of my meds at one time, the cash simply isn't there. *sob*
My chasing class is going much better, at least I haven't managed to hammer a huge hole in this piece. I'm going to enamel it when I'm done with it. I might even offer it for sale, if only to recoup the cost of the silver.
Silver has gone nuts! A couple of months ago it was $17US an ounce and now it's ~$24US. And this is the raw price, not manufactured, so for wire add another $4-5 per ounce. Ouch. (If your jeweler is charging you more, now you know why.) I have to raise all of my silver prices. And I'm very glad I do all my enameling on copper, which is still reasonable.
Still waiting on the Wheatsville Arts Festival to let me know if I got in or not. (It's only been a week after their "after Oct 16" vague handwaving deadline.) Last year they let us know less than a month out from the show. Grrr. It's a good show and I make good sales there, but sheesh.
I have a line on an every-weekend vendor spot I can get into anytime, so I plan on selling there starting after the Celtic Festival anyway.
I just can't get motivated to post on etsy. I need to do that.
Cats are still having "discussions" about who goes where when, but I have caught them sleeping on the bed at the same time--same positions, just a careful 2 feet apart. It's cute.

Me too. I haven't made anything I could put up, but I have some vintage stuff that could be posted. I just can't seem to find the time to photograph and weigh the things and write the blurbs.
