I've been home for over 24 hours now and it's great. No more being poked and prodded at 3am! I've now had a real shower and washed my hair. Spent 4 hours on the continuous passive motion machine today--a thing I strap my sugeried leg into that moves it up and down, stretching out my knee--and had several visitors including tsarina, who brought me lunch.

That CPM machine is a pain, but I need to be strapped into it 4-6 hours a day to help my knee recover. The only place I can have it is in my bed, so at least I'm getting some reading done. However, I can't take it on and off my bed comfortably, so I'm shoving it over to the side which worked OK last night.

The thing they don't warn you about is post-op bruising, which I have a TON of on the outer part of my knee.

Cats are not amused. I keep getting up and moving around and rollig the walker everywhere. And I won't even let them play with it! I am so cruel!

Congrats on getting free!

That machine sounds like automatic physio, how strange.

Poor cats. :)

The machine is sooooo important! When mom did knee #1 - they didn't do the machine and her recovery was horrible. Knee #2 - machine + some PT = mom back on her feet really fast.

Glad you're home & that it went well!
