Whew, that's done!

I'm now home and mostly unloaded from the show. I still need to unload everything that goes back into my storage unit but that can wait until tomorrow.
My lovely and wonderful nephew came out this afternoon and helped me tear down and both load and unload the car. (I do wonder about him sometimes--he bought three cans of canned haggis because he thought it tasted awesome. o_O ) He's always a huge help, since he's assisted me many times and knows where everything goes. Being a tall, strong 20-year-old is also a huge help!
Sales were verging on excellent. I'm really going to have to push to get enough stock done for the Wheatsville show in a month. Such a terrible problem to have!
It was pretty windy today, but it died down at dusk, giving me the chance to wipe everything down with a microfiber cloth. Man, everything was crazy dirty. Someone "helpfully" threw away the boxes I was keeping my pole lights in--they weren't that bad, really!--so now I need to acquire another small bin for them. My nails are all torn up, I have a cut on the end of my right pointer finger, and my face is sunburned. Such are the travails of working at an outdoor show. :-)
But dinner has arrived, The Walking Dead is on the TV box, all my charges are called in, and I'm off tomorrow. Life is good.

Date: 2010-11-12 06:28 am (UTC)I'm kind of hoping for a miracle--that we can either get two rooms in the same hotel through the Comic-Con system (vanishingly small possibility; it's hard enough to get one room) or get one room and then have a second in that hotel open up as people give up their back up rooms. I _really_ want to get more of my friends staying closer to me. :-)
