Nov. 21st, 2010 11:03 amUTI is dead, dead, dead. Long live Cipro.
Spent Saturday running errands I couldn't get done the rest of the week--bought more coinage, etc. Had to endure a couple of Ron Paul dimwits talking about the economy and running down Obama while I did it, and the temptation to go over and verbally whack them upside the head was very strong. But I resisted.
Hit the comic shop for the first time in waay too long. Found myself faced with this: a squishable cthulhu. Forced myself to walk away. Picked it up. Set it down. Walked away. Called a couple of people for advice. Bought it anyway. :-) It freaks out the cats so I'll call it a win.
All the bits and bobs I ordered for getting jewelry done have arrived. I plan on a long day holed up at home, rebuilding my inventory. I will do enamels over Thanksgiving weekend, when I can really take my time.
I'm getting a fresh turkey from Mr. Pegasus, who had most of his flock slaughtered a few days ago. Went to the grocery store last night and hopefully that's my last trip until after Thanksgiving, though I always seem to forget something. I'll be doing dinner with L and J and J's mother, which is what I do when I'm not going to Alabama with my brother's family. (My Aunt Mary hosts a huge Thanksgiving dinner; anywhere from 40 to 90 relatives show up. I have 23 first cousins on my dad's side. It's nuts.)
I still need to acquire a new tent, which I will do either tonight or tomorrow night. I'm not going anywhere near Wally World after Thanksgiving. Just. No
Paper, then work. I have several episodes of Fringe on the DVR and I need to catch up on that, and TV makes a good background when I'm doing handwork.

Date: 2010-11-25 09:57 pm (UTC)And I totally adore the cuddly chaos demonic thingy. It's so sweet! In a disturbing kind of way.
I hope you enjoy the festivities. :D Obviously, being Irish, we don't celebrate it, but it's the start of the Yule/Christmas season over here and I'm enjoying the atmosphere immensely.

Date: 2010-11-21 08:03 pm (UTC)You know, a roll of quarters in the toe of a tube sock (tie it off to hold it there) makes a nifty weapon. *g*
I find I can go to Wally World or the mall or wherever at lunch during the week (or very, very early on the weekends) right up until just a few days before Christmas. I do tend to avoid the Thanksgiving weekend, though.
