Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last month [livejournal.com profile] sdraevn and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points). In January I punched [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn in the arm (-10 points). Last Friday I gave [livejournal.com profile] ltlj a kidney (1000 points). In June on a flight to Colorado Springs, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). Last Wednesday I set [livejournal.com profile] eleveninches's puppy on fire (-66 points).

Overall, I've been nice (895 points). For Christmas I deserve a Lego set!

Sincerely,
Lillian13

Also started my cabachon making class at the Gem & Mineral Society. When the first one is finished I'll post pictures. As I keep telling my customers at shows, "No, I don't cut and polish my own stones. If I had that capability I'd never leave the house!" It's very addictive and I'm Little Miss Perfectionist, so it's perfect for me. I've got to be careful, though, the muscle in my right hand between my thumb and forefinger is already sore. Took a double dose of Naproxyn so all should be well in the morning.

Hey Lillian13! (: I hope you don't mind me posting here but I really like your wire wrapped ammonite and I wanted to congratulate you on your cab making class. You lucky woman, you! (: (is happily envious for you)

I'd like to learn cab cutting sometime, myself. Sometime when I figure out how to go about getting pictures on my LJ I'm going to post a few of my wire pieces. Anyway, I hope that you are enjoying your cab making class and I'll be looking forward to seeing them when you post them to your LJ. (:

I have another LJ, by_lillian, where I'll be posting new stuff, etc. I'd love to see yours!

Cab cutting and polishing is pretty easy--you just need the equipment. If there is a gem and mineral society or a rockhound club in your area you might look into joining, if only for the classes.

That's awesome. I really wish I had time to do a cab class. I do the wirework and beading, but my cabachon cages always end up looking a little... well... sad.

Do you have any of these books?

It's my book list on Amazon, I highly recommend the first book to learn about wrapping cabs. I also have another LJ page, by_lillian, that focuses more on my jewelry work.
